There are very few places in the Himalayas that can compare with the beauty of Kausani - a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi, Panchchuli and Chaukhamba.

Kausani lies atop a ridge at an altitude of around 1890 m amidst dense pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other. Kausani is on the Almora-Bageshwar-Didihat Highway.

Mahatma Gandhi called this place the 'Switzerland of India', due to similarity in landscape. Dotted by tea estates all around this serene township, Kausani truly is a hidden gem set amidst the magical Kumaon Himalayas.

Overlooking the valley below is the panoramic views of majestic Himalayan peaks. Sipping a cup of herbal tea you can simply let own minds unwind watching a heavenly sunset.
